Once again, Patreon decided to worsen, sorry I meant, "improve" their site by introducing new super-duper features such as anniversary billing and annual membership. I am reluctant on both and I'll explain why later. You already know that I have not activated "upfront charging" on my page, because it would mean having to keep track of any new patron during a month (and yes, there are quite a few even if the total count on my page has been very stable for the last year, because people also leave...) so that I send them the links for their tier if the case may be...

Annual membership would mean you pay for a whole year, obviously with a deal such as "12 months for the price of 10". It might sound attractive to some of you who have been very loyal, BUT. I remind you that I inevitably have two or three months a year where I PAUSE the page because of lack of progress, and no one is charged for these months anyway. So annual membership might end up more expensive that no annual membership...

The second "feature" Patreon wants to impose, sorry, "offer", is anniversary billing. If a guy joins on the 15th, then he is billed on the 15th and then again on the following 15th of the next month, rather than the 1st. Now this only works with upfront charging obviously... And then, it would create a right mess for me having to keep track of not only new patrons any given month but also when they were actually processed...

But if most people want this shit, then so be it, bearing in mind that it means more work for me and some inevitable waiting time to get links because I'm not here 24hrs a day and I can't answer everyone's request straight away (but I do check every day usually). SO choose carefully in the polls below...
