Chip Tease - Model Sheet
Added 2023-05-20 18:09:17 +0000 UTCMeet Chip Tease! So awhile back I started turning that pink merman guy I drew into a pinup original pin-up character. Did a really rough turnaround for him some time ago but I wanted to clean-it up. When I did that merman piece, I got so many comments about him looking like a male counterpart to Hilda. That wasn’t my intention but I totally saw it and honestly I’m just going to lean into it. Curious to see how he evolves as I draw him more. I use to do a lot of character turnarounds at my previous job, and it wasn’t uncommon to go back and change them as you draw them and refine certain details. I still don’t care for how I’ve resolved the hair, but I’ll figure it out. What I really want to do is make a maquette of him. I made like one maquette back in college, but that uhh….was a long time ago.
