WIP - D&D Characters
Added 2019-05-05 01:03:13 +0000 UTCPracticing painting again! It’s a bunch of experimenting and failing with figuring out forms and values. I‘d like to believe I somewhat have a basic grasp on picking colors but I fall flat when determining 3d forms and values. Watching the process it looks like i’m unsure! I also need to brush up on my stroke economy. perhaps when I find the right brush settings.
I also watched this video from Marco Bucci about color notes and I wanted to give it a shot in doing the value transitions. I think it adds a some more life to it!
For the right drawing, I wanted to try out layer blending modes paired with painting while on the left I wanted to go for an ambient kind of lighting with some rim lights. It was nice doing this despite my occasional frustrations in the process haha.
