Good thing i sorta managed to not flatten my layers this time. Here's a step-by-step process for my recent drawing. Let me try to break it down:
1. Initial sketch - getting the pose and angles right
2. Sketch tie down - solidifying forms and features
3. Base colors - usually when I'm doing lines, I'll go through another sketch tie down, but since I'm going for lineless, I just figure out the forms along the way. This serves as my base layer.
4. Coloring - slapping some subtle shadows on the clothes, hair and skin.
5. Lighting - using multiply and overlay blending modes to give that oomph to the drawing
6. Post processing - adding the glow and *cough* abusing *cough* layer blending modes as well as some minor curves and color balance adjustments to lighten up and solidify the colors in the drawing more.
