Jusant | Starring Lara Croft Release

The day has come for the Jusant Starring Lara Croft release! To this post you will find the files attached, and I will detail the mod itself and how to install it below:

The Mods

There are two main outfits to choose from which is Lara's Classic outfit and her Classic Poncho outfit from Tomb Raider 1. Each appearance includes an option to wear Lara's iconic red glasses at all times, however my preference is to use the version without glasses. This is due to in certain parts of the story, Lara will put the glasses on anyway so it provides a nice balance but each to their own!

I have also included a mod to disable Lara's little blue friend that usually sits on her shoulders or on her backpack. If you choose to use this mod, some cutscenes may appear odd as Lara will often interact with her friend (particularly towards the end) and they will appear invisible.

The other mod I have also added is being able to disable the stamina UI. My preference is to use this mod as the game already gives you audio queues and screen effects for when you are low on stamina, so adding an additional bar that you can see being depleted is kind of redundant. In my opinion, this makes the game slightly more challenging and forces you to be a little more focused on the platforming aspect. NOTE: If you use this mod, it will also disable the button prompt (by default, it's key C) for grappling your rope onto certain hooks, however there will still be an icon over the hook to let you know that you can interact with it.

Installation

Really simple! All you need to do is:
1. Download the mod/s that you would like to use.

2. Go to your game directory where Jusant is installed and follow this folder path: Jusant\ASC\Content\Paks.

For example, this is what my folder path looks like as I am using it via steam: E:\Program Files\steamapps\common\Jusant\ASC\Content\Paks

3. In the 'Pak' folder, create a folder called: ~mods

4. Step into the ~mods folder, and your folder path should look like this: Jusant\ASC\Content\Paks\~mods

5. Unpack your .rar mod/s, and you're good to launch the game.

Bugs/Issues

I did not encounter many issues with the mod, outside of the hair physics sometimes clipping through Lara's shoulders in some cutscenes if there is a quick screen transition.

One thing to note is that the default running animation has the character holding their hands in front of their stomach. This is due to the original/vanilla character wearing a poncho, so they didn't animate their hands to move much whilst running. I did try adding a custom animation, however this game does not like to use custom animations. I'll keep trying to find a fix for this, but I have made custom animations in Unreal Engine before, yet this game does not want to accept them. So we'll see! Luckily you spend most of your time climbing anyway, so it's not really noticeable in my opinion.

Notes

Only install one outfit mod at a time. Installing more than one will cause the game to crash as they are fighting to replace the same files.
