Weekly Update Post

Hello everyone!

As you all know, Ace of Spades' demo is finally out AND I AM SO HAPPY 😭❤️ thank you all so so so much for all the support, it's been surreal to see how positive the reactions have been and it's giving me so much energy to write!

It's also a crazy busy week at work because my boss took the week off and I'm covering for her, but at least it ends on Thursday. And I get next week off in return, so it's all good in the end. Yet I couldn't just not write the weekly update post after all that great energy I got over the demo, so here I am!

I've mostly worked on a quick patch for AOS this weekend, to fix minor grammar mistakes and a couple of coding errors you've all been gracious enough to inform me of, and that patch was uploaded yesterday. For the next steps, I already have the whole next chapter plotted out, but I had several ideas I want to implement for the next demo update.

Other than meeting L and R, the two final ROs, I'll be working to add a scene that's going to give player's a greater insight on MC's past and how they ended up becoming a thief. This scene is already drafted out and I'm going to get cracking on it this week -- seeing how that works out will give me a better idea of when exactly I'll be able to share the next update (current goal is between the 20th and end of January, but I want to give you all a target date).

I will also be working on minor tweaks for chapter one, especially revolving around the muscle!MC experience and a scene only a certain choice leads to with A [spoiler](about how they have a law degree on top of being a professional con)[/spoiler]. I am also studying a way to make sure the flashback scenes don't come across as too abrupt like they do now, but I can already let everyone know the flashbacks end with chapter two! Once we make it to that point, the story will be fully told in the present time, and we'll actually get to see MC in all their glory as the Bureau's C.I.. 😁

All in all, this was an AMAZING weekend, I'm still soft and floored by the positive response and I promise I'm trying to respond to all the messages but I just... suck at social media I'm so sorry pls don't give up on me, I'll learn 🥺

Since I don't have a properly written scene to share a snippet of yet, I wanted to share some of the scenes I've got planned out for Chapter Two for now (not all of it will be on the next update, it'd take me too long dshjfskjdf but it'll all be in chapter two!).

Oh, and J's scene on the end of Chapter One will be expanded too. ;)
