(Preview) Top 10 Worst Reasons You Liked Rogue One

For you, my favs, here are the first 5 minutes of this video that's taking me a very long time! Please note that this is reason #1... and there are 10...

Anyway with work being so busy it's possible I won't get this video posted publicly before the new year so I thought I'd drop a sneak peek here before the month is up. So everybody jumping ship at the end of december still gets some bang for their buck!

It would be a perfect joke on R1 trailers vs final version ;) And great marketing value, if we'd post something on yt, about scenes from patreon preview not being in full release. Also you know, with full videon being about 40 minutes long + 5 minutes of preview... ;)

Duszy

I kinda hope it will! :P

I kinda hope that this 5 minutes preview won't be in the final release... :P

Personally, I thought the movie was great. It probably could've been done better, but it was still well-done IMO. But much like your thoughts on Guardians of the Galaxy, I can see where you're coming from and why you think that way totally makes sense and I can respect that opinion. So thanks for sharing, and I can't wait to see the full video!

Amazing! I can't wait to see more. I like the way you talk about the writing and question the writers' choices. Too many YouTubers are caught up in questioning the characters' choices instead of the writers'.

I laughed at your suggestion of a prequel for Rogue One, a laugh which comes from the pain of its truth. It sorely needs character building. All those missing years of Jyn's life, not even given a montage, left me disappointed. Though, the risk and act of the team getting the plans might well serve as a shared character value - beyond serving as plot. Needs more Why. Anticipating the other nine reasons.

i loved it. it was really made for me, so i'm not sorry at all some people don't like it. it's a read between the lines kinda movie. as a friend of mine said, it felt like a bridge too far in space. and war is kinda like that, with weak characters. sometimes you don't really get to know someone before they die. how many people can you truly say you know in real life? but i'm just an old man who likes Star Wars. maybe i'm just sad we lost the princess. Ms Nicholson, can i have your Rogue One junk since you don't want it? i'll give you five pesos!

I agree the characters were weak and non memorable. I watched it twice and only remember Jyn and k2so's name. They had too many. The pilot, the big guy that followed the Jedi disciple around and even the main dude seemed unnecessary. Heck even having k2 lead jyn around once she meets the rebellion wouldn't have been too bad and then have her meet up with the Jedi dude to get the plans for the Death Star. Develop the forest Whitaker chapter more. She didn't have to die, maybe decide to go into hiding. Who knows, have an actual arc. I still liked a lot, but u could tell there was massive rewriting. Everything felt disjointed and very little cohesive story, just excuses to blow stuff up. I will likely see a few more times of course, but will need some work until Disney has any shot to be even in return of Jedi territory.

This makes me very happy. I have friends who are jumping around saying "This is the best Star Wars movie ever!" while I'm saying "I like the story they wanted to tell, but they could have done a much better job telling it" and feeling like maybe I'm a terrible person.

I feel this will be your first video i disagree with you on. Rogue One was first SW movie since OT i actually enjoyed. And it kinda renewed my hope for SW, after that mess that Abrams did. Still i have faith in your sense of humor & comedy timing to make that video fun to watch :) Btw i love what you did in description ^^

I haven't watched yet (on a train, bad wifi), but that hoodie I can see in the preview image is seriously badass! Can you share where you picked it up?
