In the meanwhile you're waiting for the new page (it'll be available this evening / Italian time), I'll tell you something about the Snow/White cover.
When I (and the other comic artists) show you the draft of a page, it's the result of final choices. To reach that "final" version, I do a lot of research for ideas, inspirations and poses. I have an "old-style" approach to comic drawing, so everything is not made from scratch and, instead, I use a lot of references. This is the classic approach to drawing you learn in every school (well, when I did a course at the Joe Kubert School - in New Jersey - USA, they taught me a slightly different approach, but just because it's the "american way" to do comics).
Said this, when I drew the Snow/White cover the first time, the result was not so satisfying for me. Sometime happens that you have to stop watching your drawing for one day or two in order to understand exactly what doesn't work.
I did it. When I got back to the cover, I realized that the Snow's arm was too rigid in that position and that his backpack disappeared outside the page. In my opinion, details are useless if they're not clearly visible. So I decided to move the backpack to the other arm and the hand got a nicer look seen from behind.
I also realized that White had too muscular body. I wanted a fit body for him (just to respect the stereotype of the physique of a porn actor), but not too much. The pose was very rigid, like a mannequin. Basically, my first choise was to use the same pose for Snow and White, but it didn't work and, anyway, it wasn't so important. Moreover, the body position was not very ideal with the head position (instead, the same position of the heads was important for me). After some reasearch, I found a new position for the body, something a lot less rigid (in my opinion).
However, all this flexibility in constantly changing graphics is possible because I draw digitally. With pen and paper, I think this would be very complicated.
A hug to all,
WTC
