Hiding from Guilt
Added 2021-05-31 05:03:02 +0000 UTCOne of the books I am working on is themed "Undercover or in Hiding" and I was missing one story. Erin suggested that somebody hiding from their own guilt, perhaps by escaping into their preferred gender. Is that what is going on here?

This could easily have been a Twilight Zone episode or perhaps an Alfred Hitchcock Presents. The difference is that the final frisson is not one of horror or disgust but of cosmic irony borne of guilt and love.
