I like to use the term as a more intelligent-sounding term for what I call “Critical/rational/common sense conspiracy theory” people either approach CT from worst case scenario: fascist propaganda, or best case scenario (albeit poorly executed) apolitical *bong hit* “iTs AlL oNe BiG pArTy, man!” Sentiment. Which is generally correct but usually lacking historical context. I’m not a No-Planer, not a Flat Earther, not (literally) a Hollow Earther, the “CoMmIeS” didn’t infiltrate anything, (but we’d probably be better off if they did) Jews are chill, & there’s probably not ongoing communications with extraterrestrials. All it means to me is unacknowledged collusion between the state & private industry.
