haven't seen this season of Stranger Things yet, but to comment on the "Warlock versus Sorcerer" comment, a Warlock wasn't really a thing back then. it only makes sense that they're equating him to their best reference at that time

I think they did a great job of translating her energy in the show's script. Also, I really like how they characterize her healing spell as a teddy bear doing stitches. This show's portrayal of magic is really neat! I like seeing the spell components, too. In one of my first games, I learned the lesson of needing to read the spell components real quick when I wanted to resurrect an NPC and the DM was like "...do you have a diamond worth at least 500g?" lol whoops

But apparently went they were thinking of characters while at home, Laura was taking about Warlocks and how she was thinking of doing that, and Travis basically was like ooh wait I kind like that...so instead Laura decided to go Cleric instead bc Travis was struggling to think of something else to play haha
