2026-01-26 23:29:59 +0000 UTCThe reason this arc takes so long especially this entire battle is that there is alot of discussion of the internal feelings of every single character, this episode is a perfect example of it. I know Kenny and Montanah love the internal dialouge which gets me so excited

2026-01-25 03:25:18 +0000 UTCI like this analysis of it! I always thought it was because she felt the King had truly succumbed to caring for humans- which goes against everything in their DNA. Asking her to heal someone "so insignificant" (like bugs are to us) broke her heart, similar to Pouf in the previous episodes.

2026-01-25 00:40:39 +0000 UTCPersonally I am of the opinion that Neferpitou's tears were shed because she was actually profoundly moved by this encounter with the King. Think about it. Just like Netero and Zeno are very aware of what they are witnessing; an Ant showing concern and tenderness towards a human, Pitou is taken aback by this as well. The ants feel as though they were born with a purpose, but many of them have never experienced love or even friendship before. They were born with consciousness and the ability to speak and reason on some level, but even so their actions have mostly been guided by their animal instincts and nothing more. That's why this moment is so striking for everyone in attendance. It is the first time they all have witnessed an ant show more than just favor, but actual love and care towards a human. While Zeno and Netero are mostly just confused and surprised that their assault left a human girl injured with ants to be her caretakers, but Pitou for the first time is seeing the depth of love that the King has for Komugi. She has never seen this before, at least not from an ant, or at least not from one she is devoted to and respects so deeply. What I think actually brings the tears to Pitiou's eyes is the King turning to her in his time of need, asking her for help in healing Komugi, while explicitly saying to Pitou "I'm counting on you." She now understands that he cares more about Komugi than anything else, and him saying this indicates that he has faith in Pitou to take care of the thing he cares about the most. I think that trust he is putting in her is what moves her to tears, even if she doesn't realize it in the moment.

2026-01-24 23:44:24 +0000 UTCPitou cries because she feels overwhelmed by the trust and responsibility King Meruem has entrusted to her. The main reasons for these tears are: 1. The King's Unlimited Trust When Komugi is injured by Zeno Zoldyck's attack, Meruem doesn't fly into a rage. Instead, with remarkable calm and tenderness, she holds the injured girl and asks Pitou to heal her. For Pitou, who lives to serve and protect the King, this moment of absolute vulnerability and trust from her master was an emotional shock. 2. A Sense of Immense Responsibility Pitou realized how important Komugi was to the King. Her crying was an expression of determination and fear of failure—she knew that the life of the person the King cared about most rested in her hands. This was no longer just an order; it was a mission of the utmost emotional significance. 3. "Humanity" and Empathy In this scene, Pitou displays near-human traits for the first time. Her tears symbolize her transition from a ruthless predator to a being capable of feeling deep devotion and pressure.

2026-01-24 23:37:20 +0000 UTCI don't think any of the royal guards care about their lives in regards to the king. Pouf has repeatedly thought he deserved to die because he failed the king. All we've seen is nothing but absolute loyalty and devotion to the king.

2026-01-24 23:36:56 +0000 UTCImo Pitou cried because for the first time they are being fully trusted by the king. And not only trusting Pitou but relying on them to save someone precious to him, something only Pitou can do

2026-01-24 23:28:48 +0000 UTCmeruem telling pitou "I'm counting on you" and them crying after makes me cry and I can't even tell you why
