I dunno. Castlevania has some pretty awesome vampires.

HBelmont 24

I do believe her force field was the Anti-Magic Shell spell (which is why only Vex's arrows went through bc Percy's bullets were magical)

For those that have watched campaign 3 all I got to say is.. welcome back Laudna 🖤

AuroraZero_

Spoiler for those who are trying to watch the campaign so beware.... the actual name of the bbeg is Vecna. I wish they got to use it in the adaptation, but Whispered One works for me

dannydarko27

Side note but due to copyright reasons they won't be able to use the Whispered One's actual d&d name. Stranger Things did get to use it since they specifically state the name comes from D&D.

Don't worry Kenny, Matt is real good at letting every character shine, this is the Percy arc so the other characters only have little moments for now

I just love dnd vampires. So must cooler than other brands.

Episode 11 is one of my all-time favorite episodes in TLOVM, and is my favorite of season 1. Season 2 is basically a whole season of episode 11s.

Also the Whispered One doesn't really need Delilah for anything anymore. He's not under any obligation to honor any supposed bargain.

I'm always excited by the depiction of the spellcasting of this episode. First and foremost -- the highest level spell cast by anyone this season is the Astral Projection bestowed onto Pike by the Everlight. Not too far off is Delilah's Finger of Death, a nasty bit of death magic she used twice this season -- earlier on Pike in episode 3 and then again on Keyleth for this episode. Pike probably saved to take only partial damage (although it did still look like it did a number on her). Keyleth took it to the chin. Delilah also took Grog out early with a Power Word Stun. Telekinesis, Silence and Witch Bolt rounds out her spells in this episode. Oh, almost forgot, the forcefield she created -- a low-level Shield spell. Vex was able to roll high enough to overcome it with her arrow. Pike used Searing Ray and Spiritual Weapon in her epic battle with Silas. Her mass heal was a Prayer of Healing spell. Keyleth's big moment was the combination of the Daylight spell she used in episode 4, followed epically by a Sunbeam spell she used to disintegrate Silas.

This episodes cliffhanger is sooo good and cruel 😅 but that's what makes the show so amazing! Appreciate the double drop Kenny! 🙌

Swanzy

"Grog=Montana" Counter, anyone? 😁

HBelmont 24

As shocking as Keyleth's self-sacrifice this episode is, I have to say, she still looks really pretty without her antler crown. 😍

HBelmont 24

I had a feeling Montana would get a kick out of Grog's "don't try and seduce me" line to Silas. 😏😂

HBelmont 24

It is very easy to miss but actually it was not the Solstice yet, they had to move up their timetable, so that plus the lack of a proper sacrifice probably caused the ritual to not be 100% right.

David Bodor

Dunno which cliffhanger is worse: this episode's, or the next. 😬

HBelmont 24

Yeah, I agree that Pike was MVP in this fight. She held her own against BOTH of the Briarwoods during this fight, albeit in separate intervals.

HBelmont 24

Time for one of the most EPIC fights in all of animation

David Bodor

As someone who watched Campaign 3, yeah - Why IS it always the solstice?!

David Bodor

“And thats where we’re left for that episode.” And then the forehead touch. We all felt the same. Lol

Shane Gilroy

So grateful for the double drop. That cliffhanger is BRUTAL. 😭

HBelmont 24

They explain it in-universe next episode, but apparently in the stream, Ashley (Pike) joined back in the stream via Skype, and her vanishing here was due to a poor internet connection. 😅

HBelmont 24

Me, as a Percy Jackson reader: "Why is it ALWAYS the solstice??"
