2025-04-29 16:28:07 +0000 UTCWhat I've always liked about Hisoka as a "villain" is that he doesn't have an overpowered or complicated Nen ability; he's just super battle-smart and a master of the fundamentals. He knows how to use the tools he's got to their fullest. And despite what everyone says, I don't think he's a pedo. He's just... super excited by a good, challenging fight. He sees the potential of Gon and Killua as future opponents, and it has nothing to do with them being kids. Plus, his theme music just 100% slaps.

He is always the most interesting character on the screen because his motivations are all his own and do not align with anyone else. He is his own man and he’s always constantly trying to put everyone on edge to put them off their game and I think that’s super strategic. I just love this silly ah clown. His eng dub is aight, but his Japanese VA?? Hottest voice. Hisoka has been a member of the Phantom Troupe for 2 years, so he’s not loyal to the Troupe. It’s been mistranslated, it’s not that he’s a “fake” member, but that he’s faking his loyalties ig?. Gon and Killua are “new” toys but he wants to hunt the Troupe to move on with it. Also hey! This is a lot of people’s favorite clown magician! Specially mine!

2025-04-24 15:40:29 +0000 UTCIt's a mistranslation in English dub he is part of the Phantom troop (he has been a member for 2 years in manga) by "masquerading" they mean being disloyal to the the troop as Hisoka just said he plans to "hunt" them now that the boss is returning (He's not hunting Gon yet cause he's not ready). You can't just pretend to be a member Infront of a real member of the troop.
