She helped those two girls she was on the team with and changed their lives and made them happier even if it was just in a little way. So Frieren realized that and has the happiest smile she has ever seemingly had so far. She understood what Himmel meant in that moment. Himmel the greatest hero but also the wisest human. Dude is amazing.

If everyone fails it’s not because they failed to teach them (they aren’t their teachers) it’s because they weren’t good enough.

2025-04-18 16:33:25 +0000 UTCSo the thing people usually misunderstand is that that it’s not the tests mandate to pass anyone- and the Proctor’s aren’t teachers. This absurdly high standard is basically the bar set by Serie, if you can’t match it then you’re just too weak- the association is not actively trying to expand the ranks of first class mages or anything similar… honestly the sole purpose of this test seems to be gatekeeping the privilege that is a Spell from Serie. It’s a lot like the Hunter’s Exam, nobody wants to help you, if you’re too weak you wash out.
