Honestly I’m still holding out hope for Sanemi. I feel like becoming a demon slayer and having to kill their mom made him rough around the edges. He had to become tough to survive. Also maybe this is his way of coping, maybe he blames himself too idk. I’m hoping that by him saying I’ll let him live if he quits the demon core is him saying he doesn’t want his brother to get hurt. Which is why he pushes him away. Who knows maybe if Tanjiro hadn’t jumped in he would have stopped right at his eyes. Or maybe he knows he could regenerate. Not saying that it’s right. This may just be my wishful/naive thinking. I’m just speculating and hoping 😂. I just can’t wait to see how they go about handling their relationship.

2024-07-31 20:02:21 +0000 UTCIn my opinion I didn’t see Sanemi actions just as he still being angry about what happened when they were kids… this is his only brother, the only family that he could save that night and is fighting without having skills with the sword, without being able to use breathing techniques and is eating demons (the thing Sanemi hates the most) in my eyes in a toxic way he was trying to keep his little brother away from any danger even if that meant hurting him, he was fine with hurting him not killing him which means to me that he just care about Genya being alive and far away from any demon

2024-07-30 16:25:52 +0000 UTCI feel like the two of them actually did better at Mitsuri's training than Tanjiro. Inosuke cause he's naturally flexible, and Zenitsu cause a beautiful woman is doing it. Remember how Zenitsu was during Rehabilitation Training? 😅

To remind y'all though, sanemi hates demons so vehemently because HE had to kill his own mother after she was turned (and after she slaughtered all of his siblings besides genya) only to then have genya call him a murderer. So it's safe to say he was DEEPLY scarred by this experience. So to find out genya has been consuming them as a means to fight (which to him is a sign of weakness since he can't use breathing techniques) probably gets to him on another level. Thanks for answering my question!!

Inosuke lives after Sanemi single strike?? We saw how those training were in Tanjiro's Point of view, I wonder how they passed the training.
