Convent of Sin I

In the fall of 1944, Sasha joins the Convent of the Sacred Flame as a novice.  For three months, she works night and day in service of the Convent to earn her keep.  While cleaning in the convent's basement, she discovers a man that shouldn't exist inside a room that shouldn't be.  The man offers her a chance to change her future, the lives of the other novices and nuns, and perhaps even the world beyond the Convent's walls.

So, as discussed in and under my the last Carnal Abbey post, that one pretty much went squirrelly on me.  Sometimes you write a short novel and it's just a fucking mess. Once I reread through it, I made a list of things I wanted to change.  I got into the range of rewriting 10+ chapters from the ground up before I put it in the proverbial drawer to come back to in the future.

Which put a damper on my release pattern, left the idea of the corrupt nunnery sex cult squatting in my brain, and generally left me in a moody funk.  So, after a mental breather, I started a second swing at the concept.  Rather than put this into the "chunk" format, which is how Carnal Abbey swerved in the first place, I'm going to treat this more akin to my normal episodic format.  The idea is to distill down to more spice and less running narrative just to do the concept justice for my own sanity.

The first chapter is, as is typical with the start of a series, exposition heavy, even as I shear pretty quick to the point at the end.  One of the issues I ran into with Carnal Abbey was going to big too quickly.  The transformations and corruptions will happen more subtly and insidiously in this version. Lower stakes as well, the main character will be less "conquer/save the world" and more exist in the world but also be a sex demon with a sex demon harem.

This also pushed everything else in the pipeline off to the side.  For all I've written in the past two months, maybe a tenth of it has reached the open retail.  Half of its made it to here, and half of it is all jumbled up waiting to be properly organized and released.  I was supposed to spend the last week unsnarling that, but instead I lamented my inability to remember an outline.
