After the explicit nature & gore of Chainsaw Man, Frieren would be a pleasant direction to go. I recently finished it and it was so incredible and wholesome.

2024-05-26 02:25:12 +0000 UTCALTHOUGH solo leveling and frieren are also must watches too. i’d also throw mushoku tensei, or its english name jobless reincarnation, in the mix too. personal opinion but mushoku tensei is the 2nd best written anime of all time, second to attack on titan. it has the best world building from anime, with a lot to explore. it has 2 seasons that are each 24 episodes long, and the second half of the second season is currently being released. it’s a wonderful journey and you guys should seriously consider it too

2024-05-21 19:30:35 +0000 UTCi’m not sure if you guys are into romance but really there’s a bunch of those that are 100% must watches. the biggest one i’d recommend would be kaguya love is war, it has 3 12 episode seasons with a 4th season that has 4 long episodes. it’s absurdly hilarious and i’d guarentee you guys would love it.

I appreciate that about CSM, the fiends are not just “spicy humans” they have entirely alien cognition. Notice how she was laughing uncontrollably when the situation deteriorated most, like she was high on the ambient fear. It’s a neat touch.

Also have y’all considered watching with closed captioning? The dub has some weirdly selective audio mixing and I’d hate for y’all to miss important tidbits because of it. This is the kinda show where important info can get dropped or referred to obliquely in one sentence and then not brought up again. It kinda counts on the viewer to pick up every single bit of dialogue and make inferences, which y’all have been fantastic at so far, to be clear.

The multicoloured thing in its eye stalks is a parasite that grows in some snails and controls their bodies. Similar to the fungus that can take over ants that inspired the fungal infection in The Last of US.
