Yo friends. In Lieu of the mixing and mastering contest, I wanted to provide an adequate demonstration of the process that I use. To do that I made videos showing my mixing process immediately following the writing process. This shows taking the track from "written demo" to fully finished and polished song ready for release - including full organization, mixing, optimizing for loudness, adding in content when it is apparent that it is missing during mixing, mixing processed vocals into the track, matching the master to reference tracks, and a lot more.

great q! over time, my sound design has gotten a lot better, and i believe this has led me to utilize substantially fewer layers. getting more out of each individual sound has replaced layering lots of sounds to achieve complexity
2022-01-10 00:26:59 +0000 UTCThe song is cool! Actually surprised that you call it the final variant and it has only about 70 separate tracks, I remember times when your songs had more than 200 different tracks, e.g. your Rockstar Remix. What do you think it caused by in you work process?
