I know this is old but my two cents on fire vs flame was always that fire was the base, the origin if you will, of flames; like flames was a more specific breathing art and didn't encompass all of what fire represented. my reason being flames cannot exist without fire. we already know Fire breathing arts exist, or must have at one time because Tanjiro can perform his dance, and we already have examples of other breathing arts being derived from another. So my personal belief is that fire breathing is a lost art that got replaced by flame breathing. I believe fire breathing to be the true elemental origin much like water and stone are original arts.

i think an important thing to note about the non discovery of demons (on top of what Blaster Man said) is that this is nowhere close to the modern age there is no way to capture photo or video of things and no means of instant communication. so even if you see a demon one night and live to tell the tale it becomes much closer to a ghost story than anything

On the whole thing as to why the majority of people do not believe demons exist is because while we the audience see them all the time it could just be an animal attack considering Tanjiro in the first episode thought that a bear had attacked his family even though the old man that gave him shelter the night before had told him demons exist

Also a Genuine Suggestion Kenny, if you pay for Crunchyroll but download the episodes I swear the subtitles are better, they are CC so they would translate all text on screen usually and on VLC you can have many sub files so can always google .srt ep# to find better ones. But yeah it's not bad imo if you are paying and the subs on fan posts are usually better. Crunchyroll drops the ball with subs I guess AND dubs now with AOT still not out. :)

Yeah I think either way is fine, Sub, Dub, Movie, TV Show I don't gate keep anything. I am a dub enjoyer. Was just a bit confused Mugen Train was where ppl stood firm and said this needs to happen, when we skipped 5 films already BUT it's a trending movie I guess so ppl just know about it.

If you put a small timer and hide the episode layer you can post ur guys full reactions and we can synch with the movie ourselves, i'd highly appreciate that. By timer i mean a countdown. I can link some videos that do this, the movie channels i watch do this dunno if you planned it BUT would love to be able to play you guys and watch the full movie (this might be hard actually since y'all pause to discuss but is it possible to edit a version like that or in future? would love to watch the movie on my own and have u guys on my phone yk)

I feel like there's a misunderstanding at the core here, since joshua mentioned that "there's no point in reacting to the show". As JDalsing wrote, they're not going to watch the movie and then the show. They're reacting to the first episode of the show and then the movie. After which they'll move on to Season 3. With that out of the way I hope we can all enjoy their reactions to it even if we hold somewhat differing opinions on whether the Season 2 show is better than the movie or not. Key point is that they won't react to both the movie AND the Season 2 show. ^_^

There is a point complaining. Some company marketed it as a movie for money, chapters released weekly and bi weekly. Episodes are weekly. People say the movie is WAY better cause no episode breaks yet the original source (manga) has week breaks and ran for 4 months. People can voice if they don't agree as long as it's not toxic, like I also agree the episodes are better both because they have more content than the film and because Letts format works best episodically imo. But anyway it's not intended to be a film they just make $ doing it. You know there's 5 movies before Mugen Train right? Why didn't you say those are better, what about the next 2? Anyway it's good they doing films now to do other films in future.

They're not going to watch the mugen train episodes after the movie, they're moving straight to the next arc after the movie, which is what the polls wanted. No point complaining, besides, watching it in one go is smoother and is how it was intended to be consumed

irrelevant, once you see the movie there is no point in reacting to the show, as its spoiled for you. they hurt their product by doing so, I could watch an episode by episode reaction which is a lot of content, or one movie. Not gonna watch both.

I am in the minority but OP 2 is my favorite. I don't think it gets the hype it deserves because it came out after the Mugen Train movie and most people skipped the season because they already saw the movie.

It's important to remember the period of time in relation to the general public's understanding/belief of demons. The Taisho era was right after the turn of the century and marked the beginning of Japan opening up to western culture and ideas. It was a transition from Traditionalist values to more Modernist values, so if you notice most of the people out side of the corps that talk about demons as though they exist tend to be older people even going back to ep 1. They grew up not necessarily KNOWING about demons but BELIVEING in them, and the more modern generation has begun moving away from "superstition".
