That being said, a random thing I noticed...Luz is talking to kings dad and he says "I'm both King and queen, best of both" so are titans potentially able to reproduce asexually? Meaning king may end up NOT being the last titan?

2023-07-21 21:24:18 +0000 UTCThe epilogue was almost my favorite part of this episode (aside from the cinematic and musical explosion that was the final battle XD) And I am glad hat I was not the only one who finally broke down the moment I saw Flapjack's grave. This finale was everything we could have hoped for and Eda being Headmaster of the University of Wild Magic is the icing on the cake. If you want to know more about the "behind the scenes" and some really cool revelations that couldn't fit into the episodes, I would really, really recommend you watch the Post-Hoot interview with Dana Terrace, Sarah Nicole Robles, Avi Roque and several more voice actors from the show. It's on Youtube and it will probably blow your mind XD

2023-07-19 14:40:57 +0000 UTCso many people conflate explaining a villain’s character arc and how they devolved from a good or neutral character, and excusing their sins and transgressions with “uwu sad backstory” when neither of those things are all that common in storytelling. it’s always, more or less, been “bad guy is bad because he can, let’s kill him” and god forbid anybody try to question “why he’s bad and why he thinks he can” because suddenly, they’re trying to excuse his sins. like i’m all for belos being killed, he was a genuine bigoted pos, but there was room for a discussion on why he was that way, and the question luz posed of “if we all think we’re doing the right thing, who’s the actual bad guy?” was meant to prompt introspection. because belos wasn’t nasty solely just because he wanted to be, a massive contributor to his god complex was the environment he was nurtured in. i don’t know, sorry for the essay lmao, it’s just weird when consumers of stories like the owl house strive to avoid any critical thinking while consuming said stories, or claim that stories that challenge the viewer’s values and biases are “oversaturated” when that isn’t a common thing at all 😭

2023-07-19 14:35:23 +0000 UTCit’s kinda funny how so many people insist that villains are always written in a way so the viewer understands their motivation and why they turned out the way they did, and that it’s “refreshing” to just have a bad guy be a bad guy and not be redeemed, because where exactly have you been? 😭 the norm has always been killing the villains, and only very recently have writers and storytellers tried to deviate from that norm by giving all of their characters nuance. there’s nothing wrong with liking or preferring an absolute bad guy over a redeemable one, but can we please stop acting like that’s a novel concept 😭

Just wanna say, when they're like high above the titan, if you look in the background, you'll see a bunch of land, despite us being told the titan is the largest landmass on the planet. This is because, with the titan getting up, all the water it displaced when it died is getting moved about, lowering the sea level and revealing more land. Which i think is such a cool detail

We never found out abou5 who made the first door, about the owl beast and its connection to the collector or who the bat queen was the palisman for. Amd yet it doesn't feel like there's no closure despite that and far as I know Dana didn't hint at anything for these like she did with hunter (simply saying he us relates to the clawthorns but not saying exactly how) or that flapjack was Edaline's palisman and Belos said her name because the palisman reminded him of her and what he blames her for

When King's dad says "I am both King and Queen, best of both things", he was referring to when King said it at the end of Grom when he put on Luz's Grom queen crown. "I loaf you" was of course a bread pun. King and Luz where making bread puns all episode in "Really Small Problem". "Now eat this, SUCKA", of course it's said in both season 1 and 2 opening episodes, but the name she uses for herself changes, to show her self growth and confidence within herself. When Luz, Eda, and King are above the Titan and Luz goes "You know where magic comes from" and they all say "From the Heart" was of course a callback from "The Intruder" episode when Eda first starts teaching Luz magic, and Eda asks Luz where she thinks magic comes from. And Luz saying "From the heart" I'm her little nerdy enthusiasm, and it actually being right

She really missed out! - King is growing so slowly and all the witches are ageing at about the same rate as humans so he'll have a very long life and will probably have to say goodbye to his family and friends, which always makes me a bit sad to think about.

The gang getting Flapjack tattoos (each one is a little different), Huntlow's dynamic where Willow immediately picks up Hunter to keep him safe once they are sliding, Hunter no longer having those dark circles under his eyes and going from hunting Palismen to carving them, Darius blushing a bit when he almost hugs Alador, Eda's new claw hand (Claw Thorne, heh), the photo of Eda and Camilla having apple blood together, and so much more! Also, in the spirit of the Owl House episode titles spelling out messages, since season 3 only has three episodes, the first words instead of letters of the three episodes say "Thanks For Watching", which I love!

Nothing important or spoilerish just a quick little nod But I am very excited for Gravity Falls! It’s got a lot of similar aspects and it really raised me as a kid/young teen and since y’all love voice acting I am excited for y’all to see all the familiar voices. Sad to see The Owl House’s journey end especially since it had become my favorite show but I am so excited to relive Gravity Falls once more :)

I would definitely love to see a live stream about this in the future (once all the episodes are on YouTube ofc). I do hope that after Gravity falls you guys could focus on posting 2 MHA videos per week, like Kenny suggested in another video, since MHA is really long and 1 video a week is too little in my opinion (especially if you have other longer animes you would like to react to.) Either way, I am excited to see you react to Gravity Falls!
