The Owl House 3x3 Questions

I don't know if you've recorded the episode yet or not, but I'm shooting my shot anyway haha Because of the shortened season, a lot of fans were disappointed there weren't more Philip, Caleb, and Evelyn flashbacks. Some even feel that the story is incomplete without them, and that Belos overall was reduced into a more two-dimensional villain role to fit the quick timeframe. How well do You think the show handled wrapping up a twisted villain like Belos and his story?

The ending of this reminded me of She-ra, where one bad guy is obliterated, and the other gets a pass despite all the chaos they caused for the entire world. Their child-like nature makes it easier to forgive the Collector, but the Owl House bluntly states that old Belos is beyond "kindness and forgiveness." Do you think the show is saying something about generational differences?

We’ve seen that The Collector has an extremely naieve/child-like disposition, and this episode we learned that, like a child, The Collector doesn’t have a grasp on the concepts of death and dying. Do you think the show did a good job of exploring death and how children view it? Now knowing that The Collector didn’t have a full grasp of the consequences that could come from his actions, do you feel any differently about the atrocities they forced upon the people of Bonesborough? Since The Collector’s only true experience with the loss of a mortal isn’t a traditional one in the sense that it still lacks finality, do you think that the collector has a full and nuanced understanding of death and dying?

That reasoning was just a rumor that Dana debunked on Reddit, unless she’s said something differently since then. The actual reason it was cancelled is because Disney Channel prefers episodic shows as opposed to serial ones. Essentially they’d rather have their own SpongeBob than their own Avatar the Last Airbender.

one of my favourite things about this shows ending is how there's plenty content left to explore for the fans despite it concluding. Such as the new gliphs, the new magic school, the human/demon realm door, etc. Do you feel that there was still too much left unanswered, or was there enough covered in the finale for closure? (Granted the show was cut short, so they were very limited with what they could do without pushing it for time. But still curious :P )

How do you feel this show did at representation? As someone going through my ADHD diagnosis while season 3 was airing I felt like this show reached through the screen and grabbed me With ALL OF THE EMOTIONS and said "I see you. you matter" and I will always appreciate it for that.

After the finale aired, the creator had a livestream where a number of questions were asked and answered that there wasn’t time for during the abbreviated final season (for instance, it was confirmed that Evelyn was a Clawthorne, so the Hunter/Eda similarities are intentional due to him being a clone of her ancestor).
