Player Profile Alpha Test Icons

Back in May 2023 during our first open alpha test of the year, we received a lot of quality feedback from new players and seasoned veterans that want this game to grow and reach its full potential. Many of the talking points regarding the state of the game are being addressed and will shape future updates and open tests for Ethereal, and we know that our players are the foundation that makes these improvements possible. To thank everyone who has participated in our open tests so far and wants to continue helping the game flourish by playing in future open tests, we are giving all participants free player profile icons that reflect your contributions to Ethereal.

To earn these player profile icons, all you need to do is play at least five games over the course of an open alpha test. Everyone who participated in our previous alpha test and played at least five games in May will have the first tier unlocked on their account, and anyone who plays at least five games during our next open test will be granted the next tier of the icon after the test concludes. Earning icon tiers are based on how many open tests you have participated in, not on the number of total open tests, and will be earned sequentially. For example, if you only participated in the second, third, and fifth open alpha playtests, you would have access to the first, second, and third tiers of the player icon. This also means that if you did not have a chance to play Ethereal back in May, you still have plenty of opportunities to sign up for our future open alpha tests and earn the icon moving forward. This exclusive player icon can only be earned during open alpha tests, however – once the game is released, there will not be any way to unlock this icon for your account. This icon is to show who supported us early on and answered the call of Elysium when we needed them, and how much we appreciate that support.
