Frontier Monsters & More: Fiercewater Nargacuga

This months winner was the Fiercewater Nargacuga from Monster Hunter Explorer! The fiercewater nargacuga is a CR 17 version of the original CR 11 nargacuga. It is a CR 17 because we have a CR 11, CR 14, CR 19, CR 21 version of the nargacuga already and I was excited that we got another one (because its my favorite monster). This is another unique one though even though its moveset is fairly familiar. It still bites, pounces, slams its tail, and sends tail spikes across areas, but it also cause water to explode around it or from it. These attacks in explorer inflict a status called soaked, which is the games version of waterblight, but it was too strong to just use it everywhere. Instead the fiercewater narga can inflict waterblight and the soaked condition depending on what happens.
Its loot table is designed with a focus on waterblight, as its effect on other monsters is usually minimal and it needed to become more impactful. To address this, the materials from this creature provide additional bonuses to PCs when a creature is afflicted with waterblight. This change ensures the condition is both meaningful and rewarding for players to utilize against monsters and not other PCs or humanoids.
