AGtMH, MHMM, Loot Tables Minor updates and fixes
Added 2020-06-09 18:39:05 +0000 UTCHi Everyone I just wanted to give you an update of a few fixes and other updates to the core PDFs. These changes are live on GMBinder and in their PDF form using their regular links on the main patreon page.
AGtMH:
- Elder dragonborn have been added to chapter 2 under the player race options
- The Uncommon Lance now gains the powerguard weapon property instead of the charge weapon property and it gains the charge weapon property at rare. This provides the lance with a greater defense at the start of a campaign instead of a minor damage increase.
MHMM:
- Mizutsune - removed unneeded text in hydropump
- Shogun Ceanataur - removed unneeded text in hydropump
- Ceadeus - removed unneeded text in hydropump
- Gargwa - fixed xp value
- Zamite/Zamtrios - added swim speed
Loot Tables: The ceanataur shell now correctly states Sm. Ceanataur Shell instead of Sm. Hermitaur Shell.
What's Next?
Since the creation of the elder dragonborns and the newest update to the guide to monster hunting I actually don't have a specific direction I plan to go. I have had some suggestions on the patreon discord on what they would like to see:
More location stat blocks, baby/young versions of monsters, additional backgrounds and more information on other factions, and possibly some new weapons (maybe the tonfas from frontier, or possibly dauntless weapons).
What I want to know from all of you is.. What are some of the things you might want to see created or added in the near future that aren't already part of the list above? I will mull of any new suggestions with the old ones and begin the work on the next part of this project. Let me know in the comments and as always thank you all for your support!

Some ideas on how to incorporate people on people fighting might be interesting. The guide mentions guild knights looking for poachers and murderers, how does a great sword wielding Knight go about finding and bringing these folk to justice. Do regular weapons exist, or does everyone in the monster hunter world have the ability to wield these massive weapons? I guess overall seeing your take on expanding the world for something that is able to be lived in would be great!

2020-06-11 20:57:18 +0000 UTCA players handbook would basically be chapter 2 and 3 from AGtMH with the race lore and history from chapter 1. I don't know if that is necessarily needed but somethign to consider so that DMs can hide some of the other info from them

2020-06-11 20:30:35 +0000 UTCRiding is possible already if you allowed your PCs to ride on wingdrakes or other herbivores and fanged wyverns like they do in MHW. There isn't really a need to revamp the normal dnd mounting for this specific setting. When it comes to taming monsters, its honestly unbalanced, but I just had a thought. I was intending to include an eventual palico system into the game based off the sidekick UA/Essentials Kit Sidekicks. I could look into allowing some other monsters to be sidekicks also. Though I would be careful because you are essentially adding more difficulty to yourself as a DM by allowing more creatures. I will also note there is a kinship stone located on the provisioners stockpile PDF (search the 5e magic item tag on the patreon) that you could use for now

2020-06-11 20:29:17 +0000 UTCIn addition to what WOLFDARKNESS said, there is a crafting system for the resources they can gather while on hunts and turn those into useful items to use while on a hunt. It isn't necessarily crafting from carves, but the point of the system is to allow a player to create their own custom armor weapons and trinkets based off the magical effects they get from the monster materials they carve.

2020-06-11 20:23:33 +0000 UTCThat already exists. There is a carve system where you roll D20 to get a carve. Which will have something unique that it does. Weapons can essentially be augmented and you can add what you carved to weapons. You have to upgrade weapons to add more carves to them. I think (This could be wrong. But this is mostly right i think)

2020-06-11 19:25:30 +0000 UTCI'm new to the patreon so maybe I haven't found it, but an in-depth crafting guide. Something that I can give my players and let them build stuff from their carves.

2020-06-11 18:09:18 +0000 UTCBeing able to Ride or tame monsters would be cool. (Monster Hunter Stories) but idk how you could do it or balance it just an idea.

2020-06-10 21:35:19 +0000 UTCHeya, hope your doing well, i've been running a little campaign the last couple of months with your fantastic compendium with some of my family. One thing that popped up, as a few of the younger ones love playing monster hunter world, is that they'd love some kind of upgrade or modification system with the weapons like that. I know the rarer monster parts do something similiar, but maybe a small subsystem where you can permanently change the weapons with a small downside/upside would be interesting. Just something that popped up in my head, maybe using the monster classifications i.e: brute wyverns, fanged beasts, etc.

2020-06-09 18:49:42 +0000 UTCThe DM minigame is actually my 300 patron goal. I have the kinship stone created as requested by a patron a while back. The big problem with that type of system is that it can break the balance even in a normal game, but it is something i will consider since it has been asked about in the past. For now though look up the magic items tag on the patreon to find the kinship stone.

2020-06-09 18:49:00 +0000 UTCI was really looking forward to the DM mini game behind the scenes idea that you had a bit ago. I remember it being on a list of todos but I dont know what happened to it. That would be great, and then right behind that I would second a taming/raising from egg to companion system. My players love companions and pets. So maybe something for that.
