Hello, Patrons!
I'm not going to spoil things with this preview render, but the MC is not facepalming because of Ethan next to him.
I hope you've all had a great week. I've spent much of the week revising one of the early morning scenes. It's a little frustrating re-doing some of the renders, but it's a necessary evil if I want to avoid that "oh I should have done it this way" feeling.
That's really one of the worst feelings in the world, in my opinion as a writer anyways. I was reminded of it this week when my mother told me about a recent conversation she had with one of our distant relatives. She told me that the relative read one of my pieces (some of my not-adult-VN work mind you!) and that the relative loved it.
It was a good piece that I wrote. But in that piece there is a minor error. In it, I mention an old, seasonal road. Here in Michigan, a "seasonal" road means that it doesn't get plowed in the winter, so it's only passable perhaps half the year, and is seldom used. But in that piece I got the name of that road wrong.
There's not really a single person who has read that piece that cares that I got that road name wrong, but that's just about the only thing I can think of when someone mentions that piece.
I know in my head that it's a stupid concept, but as a writer, that's kind of like missing a wide open receiver in a big football game, or missing a wide open penalty kick in soccer.
Of course I'll make a lot of little mistakes here and there in Unleashed. There already are a few occasions where I wish I had done something slightly different. But so far I've been lucky and there's been nothing major that has really stuck with me like getting that stupid road name wrong. And I'm going to work hard to keep it that way.
Just a little peek into my psychotic little mindset behind the scenes! Hope you all have a wonderful week as summer begins to wind down.
