MCH had just finished 5 years playing an uptight (gay) funeral director in Six Feet Under and had to shave several times a day for that one. So he insisted that Dexter be allowed stubble cause he didn't want to shave all the time, LOL! He convinced them that Dexter wouldn't shave because he didn't feel it would fit his "cover" story. But, I agree, showing him shaving and then to see stubble LOL
