Beacon Rev D / Cartographer side mount for Apollo on wheels

For this you need the right angle version, which at least for the cartographer is the "flat pack" and is unsoldered. Soldering is easy, just a few pins, nothing minuscule.
On the beacon side, on their website I'm not seeing the right angle or unsoldered one as a purchase option, but is in the pictures, so you might have to contact them.

Those two probes are very similar and had only been supported on X linear setup so far, but not stock wheel, but with the help of Stiebl on Discord who installed and tested this setup, has been using it for about a month without issues.
This side mounted version should technically also work on rails setup, but hasn't been tested.

Needs a couple of the usual heat inserts that you used on the rest of the Apollo.
And low profile screws (should be included with the beacon or cartographer )
you might need to clip the pins a bit after they are soldered so they don't stick out under as much.
the probe is otherwise almost flush with the ducts underside, just 0.5mm higher — if you feel like it needs to be raised some more, I can do that, just let me know

The cartographer is a re-engineered clone of the Beacon rev D, ( cartographer also has an adxl integrated and works on CAN or USB, via a firmware upgrade), and works just as well, but much cheaper.
It does get a few delays sometime with firmware, but catches on quickly. Where beacon is usually ahead of the curve regarding klipper update. (only happened once to me, where the klipper update "broke" the cartographer, saying firmware was too old, but a new firmware update was pushed within a day)

The beacon currently has a nozzle tap feature for automatic z offset (works great, been using it, only applies 3g of pressure on the nozzle).
But the Cartographer will get that feature soon (second phase beta testing is rolling out)

I've only made the splitair ducts (2023 and 2024 versions) and fantod duct
with standard duct height.
also made the rear cut model (needs print support ) of each one, so that they are removable on wheel setup with stock plate.
