Some of you may have noticed a new Apollo 2025 model in the shop (or mentioned on discord), not all hotend have been converted to it, but slowly happening (feel free to request a hotend to be updated sooner rather than later later).
The backplate got a few minor tweaks (tig...

The common accessory zip is the same as the 2024 model
If you have a working installed apollo there is no reason to re-print it, but if you have to re-print it, then highly recommend you get these new files. Mostly quality of life tweaks.
I've fully reorganized the Apollo files in Fusion over the past week.
Was getting lots of crashes so redid the "base" files that each hotend starts from — as each hotend setup starts from an old apollo, and gets chopped off to the core specific of that hote...

Had never heard of it, but had two mentions in the span of a couple weeks.
This is untested, please let me know if you have any issues
According to the CAD I found this would use standard height ducts.
Files are on the apollo shop page

This is just insane, not yet sure where the weak point are, and just trust in the hotend heat dissipation properties...
This hotend is from LukesLab
the backplate got a bit chopped off to fit two massive 4mm hotend wires.
added extra cooling channels in the back.
won't be tested by me, I don't have one, but will be tested!!!

I tried 120 clicks, but was too small and overkill, and the click tactile feedback wasn't strong enough to my taste. So picked 60 to match Klipper minute:second approach when using SCREWS_TILT_CALCULATE.
These, fresh at least, have a nice tactile feedback, was planing on using M4 locknut, but didn't have any on hand yet, and they work great with standard M4 nuts
the diagonal clicker are ...

The filament path alignment wasn't perfect on my old mount, but worked fine on stock Bambu, there is a very slight difference on the Pheatus Conch, and was very obvious, so this has a tiny amount of flexibility to align the hole perfectly (0.4mm in CAD, but likely 0.2mm printed), will work with both stock bambu and conch.
the mount is printed upside down...

This was only tested on an Ender3Max Neo (with about 305mm of printable surface on Y out of the 320mm bed)
ender3max Neo can sometime be found rather cheap refurbished ( https://www.ebay.com/itm/355169345340 this is where I got mine from, out of stock now, but keep an eye on it if interested in that size bed )
Compatible with ender3pro/3v2 but untested, there is some Y space lost, not exactly sure how much, but I would guess about 20mm or so , be careful and consider it alpha , as the end stop ...

Unlike most of the stuff I design this requires print support, to keep some distance in front of the fan blades and avoid increasing turbulence noises.
I tried 0.1mm layer height in PETG with tree support. Did need a bit of cleanup but ended up working well enough.

Had a metal mount option for such setup (whambam backplate).
You now have an initial fully printed version of a top linear rail mount.
Hasn't been tested yet, so the end stop may need some adjustments
I personally prefer the front mounted rail setup, so won't be trying it, but should work well as this is based on the Orbiter3 setup I made recently.
There is a minor limitation, for rear motor extruder setup like orbiter, and sherpa mini, they would need a simple 4~5mm r...

Compatible with apollo extra lock model to be fully secured
and widened to match the apollo.
A bit of print space is lost, about 208mm of printable area in X according to CAD (I don't have that printer)
You would use the Apollo "MainBody ExtraLock" version with this
and the linear rail backplate apollo, as there are matching hole mount.
only did a CAD fit with orbiter2, which would need to have motor forward.
sherpa and other similar extruder might work, but ...

( Step included)
Has both original and REVO version (added September 25th, 2024)
This will work on all ender3 style printers, where a top linear rail can be installed.
Ender3/pro/v2 etc would need a MGN12H 300mm
A Beacon or Cartographer probe (they now both support auto Z offset which is awesome)

Smart Orbiter v3
Beacon probe (standard) (only tested Rev H, but I think Rev D should work too)
or Cartographer
Probe offset: X 0mm, Y +18mm
requires a top mounted linear rail MGH12H (300mm on ender3, about 400 on ender3max)
Requires heat inserts: M3x4mm long, either 4.6 or 5mm outer diameter
Needed screws are mostly M3x6 and M3x8 (maybe M3x12) with a couple M3x20

you will of course need longer screws, very likely M3x30
M3x20 to secure the eddy
it was a first prototype that was confirmed working, but if you have any issue or thoughts don't hesitate to share. I don't have an eddy probe to test it out.
September 15 update:
was told it was too low, so the new model is adjustable can be raised 2mm from the original, and the "1mm higher" can be raised 3mm higher than the original

The original belt clamp I made (when doing a Y linear rail upgrade) were fine for acceleration under 12K, but had them fail prematurely when testing 16~18K
So these have much better clamping force and a loop for total peace of mind.
You don't have to swap them right away, but would recommend you print a spare set at least if you plan on testing higher acceleration, or printing higher temp material
PETG or better (no PLA)

If you don't know what a CPAP setup is like, just think of it as remote powerful fan, with air traveling through the CPAP tube. Usually two goals in mind with such setup, more air (definitely the case), and lighter toolhead compare to onboard fans (not the case here, weight is about equivalent, but doesn't really matter, it's a fun funky project anyway )
The apollo was never designed with CPAP in mind, but still made it happen, so this is a fun yet functional add-on to the Apollo, and ...

On discord three of us had a brainstorming session and came up with this
This rev3.3 beta release turned into a release candidate.
Won't work with an Apollo klack, but should work on everything else
The main motivation was for the Cartographer nozzle Tap feature (Beacon Tap as well), which allows auto z offset, which works better with a clean nozzle.
Awesome feature, and highly recommend the Cartographer or Beacon as probes.
Idea behind with this brush is reusin...

For this you need the right angle version, which at least for the cartographer is the "flat pack" and is unsoldered. Soldering is easy, just a few pins, nothing minuscule.
On the beacon side, on their website I'm not seeing the right angle or unsoldered one as a purchase option, but is in the pictures, so you might have to contact them.
Those two probes are very similar and had only been s...

5mm bore and 8mm bore
Used in conjunction with a metal GT2 20T pulley, with the front ring removed (pops off easy)
secured with 4 m3x8 screws
About to become useful soon (5mm bore version), for the bottom dual z motors belted ender that I'm about to post on Monday or so (few final tweaks needed)
But in case you want to play with the design of this a bit the STEP file is in there
A metal one will be more accurate, if you print this make sure to calibrate Z

Camera is lowered by 1mm, and LED lowered by 2mm or so.
Print both parts, the old camera case was slightly tweaked and likely isn't compatible with this one.
the main mount can be in any color
the camera case itself, should definitely be done in black.
Also discovered that over time a little cleaning of the lens may be needed (microfiber cloth with IPA), I thought my camera was dying, but just had fog/oils on the lens
