Test anim and good PC news
Added 2025-01-15 10:01:50 +0000 UTCSo i made this simple tifa animaiton to test that the PC was working fine. and it is. not a single issue at all, no crashes in games, or 3D software or anything else. works as it should have worked since july. finally excited to get back to work where we left it (kinda wanna make another tifa animation but with tentacles) i might just do it honestly. because i don't like one bit how this one looks. sure the bulge is nice, but hair is glitchy, i don't like the lighting, and it feels like there's no motion at all. maybe something short but like with a couple camera angles or something somehting a bit more interesting. because honestly i'm not gonna fix this one, or even add sound to it as i don't like how it came out. and honestly? to do this, i would rather make one with the tentacles. what do you think?
At least the hardware drama is over. maybe i should now consider getting a NAS, because syncing both PCs with mega already prooved to be a mess. and having all texture libraries and stuff duplicated in both is not efficient. and swapping the external hard drive (what i'm doing now) every time i need something is annoying.

Good news. Yeah a NAS or a small SAN might serve you well. If you want to know the very basic differences, a SAN generally uses a specific adapter to create a separate storage network, more like a direct connection. Typically these will be faster. A NAS can use your existing network but you’ll see bandwidth limitations here vs directly connecting depending on the speed of the drive. If you’re on 5 or 10Gbps connections already then you’re all sorted. As a rough rule of thumb, a 1Gbps network interface for a computer/NAS will move around 100 MB of file per second, so if you’re on 1 Gbps you can estimate if you’ll be happy or disappointed with that performance. Just a little note I agree with your remark on lighting and the bulge seemed glitchy in the beginning

If you did try to add stuff, it'll only make you want to add more variables XD being the possibility is endless here. But just a suggestion, If not too much, give 2 more alt lighting. Light and this darker one. That's all and then a lit up Gifdoozer watermark on the eel plug (Not what AI said =D. For the darker one. Should glow as it borrows inside her ;) Viola.
