Added 2023-07-12 11:15:42 +0000 UTCSo i've been messing arround a bit more with face mocap based on a couple files i comissioned to pixie, but at the same time it's taking me too much time that it's kinda making me keep you guys with no updates or no new tutorials, and that has me quite worried ntot gonna lie.
So i've recorded a short video showing you my mocap progress and talking about what concerns me about how time consuming this is

I'm trying to get that animation done as best as i can :3 so it's gonna take me a while. and i'm learning new stuff along the way to get even better results like the face motion capture. been messing arround with physics for the tentacles so they're a bit wiggly... trying to do every little tiny detail... but idk, maybe i should just finish it and stop focusing so much in making it perfect? T_T

2023-07-12 12:07:55 +0000 UTCI feel like it'd be worth investing in if the retargeting between the two meshes and blendshapes was much better but if you end up having to do so many manual fixes, then it's probably not great :( I'm sure it'll be the norm very soon as facial mocap because more and more mainstream, and plugins output better data that doesn't need as much cleanup.
