Longer animations?
Added 2020-12-29 19:10:51 +0000 UTCAs you might have read in the previous post I'm considering the fact that loops are starting to be not enough. I already feel confortable making them and rarely find a way i can progress so that's why I'm thinking of pushing the boundaries a lot further and get out of the comfort zone this 2021 and make way longer animations. 1 to 5 minutes long each. which will also allow me to do stuff like fluids (smoke, liquids etc) physics, particle hairs etc without having to worry about them to loop. But all this despite it could sound amazing and a great update, will require more work and a better organization so i can at least post something as often as i do. I'll post WIPs and loop some parts of the longer anim. So, would you be interested in this kind of longer content?

2020-12-30 18:01:32 +0000 UTCA long animation with multiple loops. This is a great idea because I love your loops.
2020-12-30 01:05:22 +0000 UTCIt would nice if you did, but not an ultimate deciding factor in regards of my support via Patreon. I love your work and have no complaints. ๐๐

2020-12-29 22:48:35 +0000 UTCI use DaVinci Resolve now - the basic version is free, but the full version is only $300 for a lifetime license, and it has some amazing features, like support for VR and 8K video. Of course, for anything past 4K, you need a ridiculous amount of VRAM just to get it to work. I'm going to need a 3080ti or even a 3090 if I want to do the really cool stuff. One thing that I really like is using VST plugins - so I can get full workstation-quality audio editing for things like reverb with "room shaping," so the room in the video sounds right.

2020-12-29 21:35:56 +0000 UTCthat's mostly what i plan on diong. Like making an intro animation, then a loop with some different camera angles, another variation. etc :3

2020-12-29 21:35:25 +0000 UTCYou can get some very good results with a video editing package, with time variations between loops. If you have an editor with Optical Flow (like DaVinci Resolve), you can speed up or slow down clips by a fair amount without being able to tell the difference between that and actually rendering, yet still get enough perceived time variations to make it NOT look like a pure loop.

2020-12-29 20:08:57 +0000 UTCDo what you feel driven to do! Personally, I've found that doing one long one followed by one or two short ones allows me to stretch myself creatively, while also maintaining a decent release cadence.
