Behind closed doors, work on the Snaiad remake is proceeding well. A big challenge last month was the finalisation of the bodyplan for the Arthrognath phylum - which is extremely diverse in fish-like niches on Snaiad.
The spiritual inspiration for this group came from an obsolete reconstruction of the enigmatic Cambrian animal Nektocaris. Arthrognaths have an arthropod-like "head", a vertebrate-like body, two pincer-like forelimbs which usually form jaw-like articulations, four eyes (sometimes reduced), and four sets of fleshy fins (also reduced sometimes).
With this bodyplan in place, I am rapidly producing a diversity of new forms. Here are three sketches - including one which led to Konkhomasia, this genus.

Thank you all for supporting Snaiad and my other creative projects. When Snaiad is published, the names all of my life-time Patreon supporters will be reproduced in print within it.
