Chapter 2 - Diaries & Letters

Right, this is something we've been contemplating from the beginning with Mark (my co-writer) but haven't talked about until it felt more relevant. Jotting my thoughts down on this.

There's a lot of little texts and bits and pieces that we've written as fillers, ones worth mentioning are Morrie's diary and Jack's letters home. You'll see snippets of the more relevant bits of these texts during the story, especially Jack's letter (we intend to finish each chapter with Jack writing home or Morrie writing her diary) but there's a lot of these that won't end up in the comic.

They're not relevant to the story, but we think they might be fun for folk to read. The only small issue I see with them is that some of the entries are slightly explicit. It's all pretty tame stuff but we have to remember that Morrie is a courtesan and her personal diary will reflect that.

I'm a bit apprehensive about sharing these texts but they're all in-character and map out the timeline for the story. They're there to help us build the characters and their view of the world (and to remember key points in the story). None of them are particularly spoiler-y but if we did release them on Patreon, we'd make sure they run either alongside of the pages released online or well behind.

How'd you lot feel about that type of content? It'd include small graphics to go with the texts. Bit different to what we've got here so far.

To anyone who doesn't know this yet:
Mark Thomas is Tistow's co-writer and heavily involved in building the story and characters with me. He's not been too keen on being credited for the work he's done for the story, but I'm trying to push that fact out there (whether he wants it or not hah). I couldn't possibly do this without him and owe him a lot.
