You know, I've started to wonder [under the influence of reading so much of the Orion's Arm Universe Project] if the Modulars don't form a sort of dynamic group-mind. And not just the mobile-Modulars you showed in the original All Tomorrows. Like, if their entire planet, their whole civilization, forms one great tribemind/groupmind as different individuals change roles and change entity-membership throughout their lives.
