Added 2018-01-17 11:32:40 +0000 UTCIf you missed my "bench time" live-chat invitation the other night, here's the replay. This is a little more informal and open-ended show format, with not very many edits (although I did cut out a couple of topics that I wanted to keep a little more private).
I normally keep my content mostly family-friendly, but this video contains some mild cursing.
I really enjoyed getting to hang out with some of you. I will DEFINITELY be doing this again. However, I probably won't schedule it. It'll just happen whenever I've got work to do and want to spend some time with you all.

2018-01-30 16:20:51 +0000 UTCI have heard of somebody who was smoking motors repeatedly with his ESCs. I do agree that swapping ESCs is the right way to go. Sorry you lost so much damn money that way though.

2018-01-18 20:22:22 +0000 UTCHi Joshua, (*oops!, just hit "enter" - seems I shouldn't.. :-) I've just smoked several (really niiice, *bohohoooohh!!) motors just with hover tests, went crazy over blheli32 versions, fw releases for my fc (airbot f7v2), settings for the escs and just kept puffing away at motors like a steam train.. Seriously doubting my reason and senses, I decided to install other escs with the same "flawed" settings that appeared to smoke motors, and - tah-daahh - haven't managed to generate smoke yet! I really fear there is something mysterious up with those ESCs (Wraith Plus, or Wraith 32bit 50A, or iPeaka 32bit 50A from iFlight-RC, probably other brandings..), I'm waiting on the response of the dealer (iFlight). So far I have smoked 150 USD in motors, and I got so neurotic over the experience that I'm sort of blocked in a chain of doubt. Help! - Have you heard anything like this so far?.. However thanks again for being there and for putting this incredible amount of energy into this hobby we love beyond belief! *muah, E

2018-01-18 06:02:18 +0000 UTCDang I missed it. Will there be any know it all vids coming out on blheli_32? I have the Spedix Gs 30 Stuck on 4S. No turtle mode. No lost quad esc beeps. I went from open source to closed source and have less functionality. It's like I'm running RF but I run BF :(
