2022-02-14 15:24:50 +0000 UTCI love edible flowers! Several can be candied, stuffed, pickled, or jellied. I love putting violet or honeysuckle jelly on shortbread. Rose, roselle and hibiscus make great honey infusions. Some other edible flowers are marigolds, squash blossoms, basil flowers, elder flowers, kale blossoms, rosemary flowers, garden phlox, carnations, calendula, mint flowers, dill flowers, geraniums, garden mums, clover flowers, English Daisy, borage, sage blossoms, dandelions, peony, hollyhocks, cornflowers (bachelor's buttons), lavender buds, sunflowers, and lilacs. Thought: How would you treat plants that have more than one edible part? Dandelion plants are completely edible. Roots, leaves and flower. Figs are also great and can easily be turned into figgy pudding, fig newtons or preservers. Fresh is tastiest. They also come in tree and shrub form now.

2022-02-14 15:10:13 +0000 UTCAsparagus and Figs are great and you can do a lot of dishes with them. And edible flowers, yes please! I love nasturtium (very colorful and spicy taste) and violets. Thank you very much for your hard work.

2022-02-14 09:08:48 +0000 UTCFigs, yes please! My new house came with a fig tree and I love them now. Ube has a fun color and is very versatile, and nopales (prickly pear cactus) are used in a number of Mexican dishes around here, the pads and the fruit both. For edible flowers maybe dandelions?

2022-02-14 05:31:25 +0000 UTCI love the idea of all of those. I'm in the Southern Untied States so those are all foods we eat but I would like to see lettuce, dragon fruit, star fruit, maybe a smoothie maker. I love tropical smoothie lol and maybe some Cajun food.

2022-02-14 00:40:54 +0000 UTCAll the recipes I have use it as a meat substitute, but in the grocery store it is in the fruit section.

2022-02-13 23:53:34 +0000 UTCIt is a common veggie here...we even call it plant mutton lol cause when cooked properly it has such a similar consistency to meat

2022-02-13 23:45:24 +0000 UTCSome of my favorite edible flowers are Borage Blossoms, Calendula, Hibiscus, and Nasturtiums! Violets are also very nice if they're candied or suspended in candy, like those really beautiful flower lollipops that people sometimes give out for weddings.
