Wedding Food ?
Added 2022-02-02 09:05:56 +0000 UTCSince the wedding GP is round the corner ( hopefully), I want to make some food which is served at weddings. Not necessarily in Feb but over the next few months.

I love this idea! Champagne fountain would be cool. We served punch at my wedding. Everyone's wedding traditions are different. I know it's more popular now days where I live to do cupcake stands with a much smaller wedding cake for just the bride and groom. I've seen cookie platters and taco bars as well (not together... haha!). Bruschetta, shrimp cocktail, bacon-wrapped water chestnuts, Italian meatballs, spring rolls, Jordan almonds, and macaroons are a few other ideas I have. Small plate stations have been something I've seen also (geared toward appetizers and mini desserts). I know noodles are common in East Asia as they represent longevity. I'm really curious to see what EA will give us in the Chinese tea ceremony. I'd love to see roast duck, shark fin soup, and sweet buns. Whatever you create will be amazing! I love your content!

2022-02-04 16:51:43 +0000 UTCTLDR: Options are limitless. Hor d'oeuvres can be real fun, since most of it is just making mini versions of food. It's just about making them easy to grab and eat. -Tiny grilled cheese on a tomato soup shot glass. -A single bit of something on a spoon, like a bit of herbed goat cheese on a cube of beet. -One meatball with a noodle and a drop of sauce with a fork or pick in the top. -Tortilla roll ups with cream cheese herbs and sundried tomatoes. -Crostini can have a variety of toppings. -Stuffed mushrooms. -Bacon wrapped... anything? Buffets are a very popular dinner option. Large sized dishes filled with individual portions of a meal. 1) Bread 2) Salad 3) Vegetable 4)Pasta 5) White Meat 6)Red Meat 7) Seafood. Desert tables are becoming more popular too, so deserts (pies, cookies, brownies) on risers or other decorative serving dish. Candy tables are pretty as well. They tend to have highly decorative displays. The guest gifts/favors are often food too. Individually wrapped cookies, candy or even honey or tea in jars. For the cakes? Go crazy. Traditional, Character, Naked, Gemstone, Sculpted and on and on... For my wedding we had a 3 tier riser with Strawberry shortcake (Short cake, strawberries between layers and topped with a light buttercream) and had chocolate covered strawberries on each slice. Our toppers were large chocolate covered strawberries that looked like a bride and groom. My mother had a glazed lemon chiffon topped with blueberries. You can never have too many cake coices. -Thought: Standard size (L, M, S) with flavor combo options, that fit a separate tiered structure. Then you can pick a different flavor for each tier. I don't know how that would work in-game though. Wow... that was long, sorry!

2022-02-03 22:42:22 +0000 UTCGreat idea! Buffets are a common wedding trope in a lot of cultures, as are passable appetizers. Oysters are a huge wedding food where I am from, as is bbq and low country boil (a pot of crawfish/crabs/shrimp, potatoes, corn, and spices).

2022-02-03 01:11:45 +0000 UTCMy friend had Italian Wedding Soup at her wedding!! I'd also like to see some hobby-based cake toppers, or maybe some wedding candles for your candle maker. Something simple poundcake or angel food cake with whipped cream type frosting might be nice too... for my wedding I went super simple with a chocolate cake and whipped cream frosting, so I'm always drawn to simpler foods and cakes.

2022-02-02 22:52:36 +0000 UTCItalian weddings have always been my favorite as food is the big centerpiece. Lots of Anitpastas, salads, roast beef and mashed potatoes, chicken fettucini, Lasagne, broiled fish and rice pilaf, Chicarina Soup (aka Italian Wedding Soup), shrimp cocktail, Tiramisu, pastries are some of the common foods I recall.

2022-02-02 15:32:32 +0000 UTCThey lack hors d'oeuvre recipes like alot. Your Frank's in blankets and Christmas tree cheese and crackers was where it's at. Maybe a chocolate fountain ? (I know you can do it better than the party stuff pack)

2022-02-02 14:43:27 +0000 UTCIm planning a wedding, and I'm seeing a lot of pizza, tacos and bbq for casual meals, prime rib, salmon and some sort of chicken for the served meals. Donut walls and Venetian tables are always great. I'd love to see options for casual and semi-formal weddings!

2022-02-02 10:08:58 +0000 UTCAnd in Germany you´ll often find the wedding soup - https://www.thespruceeats.com/german-wedding-soup-recipe-hochzeitssuppe-1447335 It varies in between the regions of german, the base always being broth and meatballs and some pastry; in my region there are Flädle in it, pancakes cut in stripes. Often its has all three. Flädle, semolina dumplings and liver dumplings - https://alltastesgerman.com/pancake-soup/

2022-02-02 09:47:42 +0000 UTCPiece montée choux are a french tradition I love - https://snippetsofparis.com/french-wedding-cake/. The more and higher single pastries the more impressive. You can keep it very classic or decorate in abundance. It shows not only baker skill but also a building one ;-). You´ll find lot of pictures on pinterest. And it´s also traditionally a dessert for baptizing celebration and eastern.
