I have done some research but I love to learn more so that I can do it justice!

I'm a little late but I'm so in love with peanuts mochi.... They are so gooooood !! By the way, I find it's a great idea to add them to the game :) I love your work !! Keep going and thank you very much !! :)

I would love matcha, red bean. ichigo daifuku (has a strawberry inside!), and sakura mochi (f sweet pink-colored rice cake with a red bean paste center, and wrapped in a pickled cherry blossom lea) flavors! I love this idea! Thanks again for all your hard work!

I just need Red bean paste flavor.

I'm Japanese so I know a little about mochi! In Japan, sweets called "YUKIMI", which was released in 1981, can be found at supermarkets and convenience stores everywhere.(雪見だいふく)

Thanks! I understand wagashi now a little bit more. They look so good, I want to make a bunch of them for this project!

Thank you! If I were to make categories should i create separate categories for dango, daifuku and mochi or should I put all under the mochi category ? I am currently planning 3 categories for the appliance- Mochi ( sweet, savoury, seasonal included), Mochi ice cream and Wagasi. What are the cute animal and otger shaped mochi made of ? Are they wagashi or mochi ?

lol, Love it!

Hey, not knowing much about Mochi myself I googled it and found something interesting. Possibly a new way for sims to die. Death by Mochi. Check this out: https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-42537953 Anyway, these all sound delicious. Can't wait for them in game.

What I really would love to see is Mochi related to Seasons... for Example Sakura Flavoured Mochi For Spring, I hope you don't have read this site already but there are some nice Inspirations for Seasonal Mochi: https://www.tsunagujapan.com/7-traditional-japanese-seasonal-sweets-you-should-try/

Hello, I would really love it if you made your preserves and sauces as an ingredient for these. I often use your preserves as an "added" ingredient in many recipes.

Hi, I'm Japanese who loves to eat! Mochi is not only a sweet snack, but also a meal menu such as "Zoni" which is put in soup with vegetables and chicken, and "Isobe-maki" which is made by applying soy sauce to baked mochi and wrapping seaweed. It is mainly eaten during the New Year period. The rice cakes made mainly by such rice cake makers are for meals. Freshly made, it is soft and hardened, cut into rectangles, baked and eaten. It is also common to eat with sweet bean paste, sugar soy sauce, and kinako (roasted soybean powder mixed with sugar). I also love the "Oshiruko", which is made by adding mochi to the bean paste soup. A warm soup with a gentle sweetness. Although it deviates from the subject, there are a lot of rice cakes for New Year's holidays in every household at this time of year, so many ideas for cooking using rice cakes are being sent out on SNS. It would be fun to copy and paste the "餅 レシピ" and search. Also, for snack mochi, "chocolate daifuku" wrapped in bean paste mixed with chocolate and "strawberry daifuku" wrapped in bean paste and strawberries are common, but there are endless variations. Daifuku is pressed against an iron plate and baked on both sides, which is called "oyaki" and is often eaten in cold regions. In addition to bean paste, there are also sweet and spicy stir-fried vegetables (Nozawana, burdock, carrot, etc.), all of which are very delicious. I hope it helps you.

Wagashi tends to be like... A bit of a broader term for food that's made to be a treat for the eyes first, and a treat for the mouth second. So it's often made of different kinds of bean pastes, nut pastes or lotus pastes, sometimes mochi, dyed different colors and molded into little shapes. There's also some really pretty jellies called kohakutou that fall under this. Those kinds of makers will cook the rice and then pound it into the mochi! Which can also be shaped, dried, and then later grilled for Yaki-Mochi, as a nice savory snack!

i've only had mochi ice cream too, and my favorites are strawberry and mango; but i've also had chocolate, chocolate w chocolate chip, vanilla bean, cookies & cream, and red bean. i've seen mint chocolate chip, matcha/green tea, and coffee flavors too.

I've only ever had mochi ice cream. And the flavour my fiancé loves the best is cookies and cream. I'd be interested in other kinds of mochi for the Sims though, that'd be pretty cool.
