Will definitely be reacting to Star Trek Continues! Really looking forward to it! You all have said such great things bout it.

Great reaction to a great episode. Love the call-backs to the original series. If you check out the fan series Star Trek Continues, its a well produced show that mixes references to the original show with new material which serves as the final year of Kirk's 5 year mission.

Well said, my friend

There are absolutely canonical violations in this show. Period. They are far less then what many original took but their are some. And I couldn't care less. For a very simply reason, every single live action (not including the animated series as I am less thoroughly versed in the minutia of every bit of dialogue and action in them) Trek series has canon violations, even within themselves let alone to the shows that came before and this very much includes the original series. Now some people give the original series a pass, for a couple reasons. Them being first seeing what works and what doesn't and changing things to make things better as they went along, and tv of the 60's not being designed to be internally consistent within themselves in general (Something that has become less common each decade, but still does exist in tv today). But just as the writers of TOS keep changing things to better suit the universe they were creating even if it countered what they had previously established, I have to be a rational being and give creators in the 80. 90, 00, 01, 20 and beyond the same freedom. And of course I always hope that each change or mistake (there have been times where it wasn't deliberate but writers like all of us make mistakes and miss things) isn't a huge change to the universe (and I am not talking about the visual look of the universe during the times they were created). After all If I can accept that almost every visual aspect of the Trek universe change from Turnabout Intruder to The Motion Picture which is considered to be about a five year time frame. Then I loose any logical rational way to complain about other universal visual changes. Its the lets erase an episode or character from Trek, that might piss me off.
