Late to the party on this one. Since you asked about (non-Spoiler) Gary Seven / Assignment Earth references in future Star Trek, I will say that they are referenced in a couple of the modern shows. Lower Decks is not one of them though.

Maybe to be a springboard for the young actress who makes an appearance in the episode. I was wondering if you might recognize her. It took me a few scenes before I did that double take and said, "Is that Teri Garr?!" RIP to her.
