Bit late catching up on the last few episodes, for that question from the previous episode on if there are any Star Blazers / Space Battleship Yamato video games, none specifically that I know of, at least in the English language. Closest there is would be Super Robot Wars V, a strategy RPG that mashes together a whole bunch of shows into a beautiful mess of a plot - SBY played a staring role in V and dominates most of the game's early and late stages, including a rather epic final showdown with <> Highly recommend it, only problem is that due to rights issues, the English language version was only ever released in South-East Asia. If you have a PS4 or Switch, you can always import it, otherwise you're out of luck unless you've got a trip to Asia coming up soon (it's on Steam, but securely region-locked to only SEA accounts).

2024-11-05 15:10:00 +0000 UTCWhen I first watched Space Battleship Yamato back in my misspent youth, I was so taken aback that the show was a continuing serial as it was one of the first such animated shows I had encountered. When I worked at a hobby store later in life, I would bring in VHS copies of anime shows to show on a monitor the store had setup at the store entrance to show the cashiers at the front counter on Friday Nights. I was surprised that many customers would stop and watch the show as well. Some anime I had to do some 'editing' to keep it family friendly. Doing clean edits on VHS tape back in the 80's and early 90's was not always easy. LOL
