Gotta say, the first two or three episodes felt more Star Wars than Trek to me and I wasn't super into it. Watching it with you was the fourth time I tried to get into it, but hoooooly shit now I'm into it. Go fast!

The tiniest things are referencing things woven in to the fabric of the show moving forward it is so cool to discover them this time round. You are in for a treat with this show s2 is my favorite Trek of all time and I was an 80s TNG kid lol
