I really love your observation that Anderson Dawes doesn't "sieze" power; he "seeds" it. Very well put, and a nice bit of wordplay to boot!

I love this episode to highlight the differences between Miller and Holden. Miller executed Dresden. Got no information from him. Was literally unwilling to see if Fred could manage to get information about who started the program, and if he could safe guard that information. Now we know in God speed, when the doctor admits that he is going to share that information to the masses, and he doesn't have a means of blocking that besides destroying his ship he was willing to do it (even if he didn't want to. But he absolutely gives the Doctor the chance to not spread that information out. Again he takes steps that Miller wasn't willing to ever risk. Now Here we See Holden is willing to take matters into his own hands after he reads into the attitude using weapons, not as leverage to find the truth, but leverage to get power by both Fred and more importantly Dawes. Holden was giving Fred the benefit of the doubt (I don't think he would have naturally given Dawes the Benefit of the doubt just after his first time speaking with him). He still gives people some time before he makes his judgment. That is the difference even now between how Miller acts and how far out side his natural character he is willing to travel. The question is how much further over time will he change.....

Sorry, I’m a little late to the game on this comment (life got in the way). Other commenters giving you great details. Your guesses are as interesting as usual. And, as usual, there are so many things you don’t see coming. (None of us did). 😀

Absolutely

Also I think Holden is suffering from PTSD from Eros. He saw things of horror there and is struggling to figure out how to prevent further horrors.

Buckle up buttercup! This ride's gonna get wild :)

I know

There's a really neat call back in that Holden was going armed to Cortazar's cell in order to kill him and stop him from exposing the location of more PM, which is not a million miles away from what Miller did when he shot Dr. Dresden in S2E2 which at the time Holden admonished him for and threw him off the Rocinante. Showing that while Holden has been running around acting like a holier than thou Paladin who plays by the rules... he picked up lessons from Miller and agreed in the end that knowledge of the PM was too much of a risk to have lying around.

It's 'Camina'

Yeah, Martens is creepy as hell

It is a C, but I prefer a K 🤣

LightningInvoker

Is it Camina or Kamina? I always thought it was with a C.

The introduction of Martens, the chaplain, always makes my skin crawl (from a woman's POV!) Bobbie is trying to be strong and is being gaslit by everyone she is dealing with, including this dude. She has some pretty funny lines here too: "Did they teach you that in Chaplain 101?" There is an awkward pause and Bobbie says "Thank you for coming by" but Martens doesn't leave and presses her further. She is clearly struggling to maintain her composure and you are correct she is seriously traumatized by her experience on Ganymede. BTW she is on the Scirocco which is the same ship she was on going to Phoebe and it was also shot up pretty bad in the Ganymede battle so that is all the construction going on. And, oh yeah, Dawes, just pressing for info from whoever will give it up and literally grooming poor Diogo to bring him to his side. What an awesome character and performance!

To clarify, the Sciroco is Bobby's main ship, not a new one. Captain Sutton was killed at the end of last episode. We see the crew doing repairs to the damage it took. This new captain was also the ship's chaplain, hence his overly nice demeanor. You corrected yourself when you said 'true Belter' and I think that's a very accurate statement. There are a lot of Belters who feel this way, that's why there appears to be two camps forming: fuck the inners VS work together. I think we're really starting to see the struggle within Naomi. I think Holden left the ship to go 'take care' of Cortizar. He didn't look happy when Fred told him Cortizar thinks there's more PM out there. That dude is the only one left who can study it (and make it the weapon), so Holden believes taking him out is the best way to stop that. That's my take on it. The Assistant Director of Operations is Camina Drummer.
