Early Access!! FFXIV - Dancing Mad (Kefka's Theme)

Hoo boy! I could talk about Danicing Mad all day! Honestly, you had exactly the kind of reaction I was hoping for. So, I have absolutely zero training in music and know next to nothing about musical terms so keep that in mind when reading the following: Not only is this a masterpiece when it comes to the song itself but it is also genius game design. You are correct in identifying 4 or so phases in the music. You basically go up a tower made of final boss and each "floor" is a phase of the fight until you reach Kefka himself at the top (both the tower and the "Angel Kefka" are shown in the XIV video). Each phase of the song is designed to loop but it will seamlessly transition to the next phase depending on how fast you kill the phase you are at (at least to my untrained ear). Now, Final Fantasy VI was not only my first rpg but the first game I played that had an actual narrative and was about more than just "go kill the bad guys". I played it for the first time when I was 9. I was still learning English while playing a (kinda badly translated) Japanese game, so there's a lot I didn't get on my first playthrough. However, to me, the music in this game conveys so much information, so much emotion, that it transcends language. I can safely say this game changed me forever and that my 9-year-old self was completely blown away. I'll now try to describe some of the feelings I get at the last phase of the song (a difficult task since I do not know what terms to use). There are sections at the last phase of the song that I'm gonna call "intermissions" (I suppose I'd describe it as the part where it is mostly organ playing a melody). Within the context of the game, something magical happens here: I start to reminisce about the journey that brought us (the characters) there, all we have lost, the bonds we made along the journey, everything we went through to get to this point fighting against what seems like impossible odds. Fighting not even to save the world (the world is mostly a wasteland at this point) but to give it a chance to heal. Depending on my mood FFVI is sometimes my favorite game (FFVII and Chrono Trigger are the others fighting for the spot most of the time).
