Lustworth Academy v0.4 (Sneak peek and personal note)

Howdy! I hope you're doing alright during the summer. We're here to give you a sneak peek on the work I've been putting into overhauling our beloved game. So, let me share some of the progress with you:

One of the main focuses in this next update is enhancing the storytelling experience. I want you to feel more immersed in the game's world and connect with the characters on a deeper level. By improving their narratives and animations, I aim to make them feel more grounded, interesting, and compelling, ensuring that players will have a strong emotional investment in their journeys.

I'm gonna implement different sprites for each character to convey different emotions during dialog, actually showing more rather than telling because after all that's what a VISUAL novel is all about, right?

This will be done with all characters, ramping up efforts to make cinematics more dynamic and fun. I believe that visually captivating scenes can enhance the overall gaming experience. By refining the artwork and focusing on cinematic elements, it will make your adventure in Peacock Valley truly memorable.

I'm also streamlining the minigames to provide a more casual and bug-free experience. I want players to have a seamless and enjoyable time while engaging in these activities. By simplifying the mechanics and ironing out any issues, I'm confident that the minigames will become a source of entertainment rather than frustration.

That applies too for the exploration side of the game. As you can see, the goal is to improve the atmosphere of the game to give you a better feel of where to go, adding more interactivity with the environment and making the background more pleasant to the eye.

But that's not all! I've been listening to your feedback and working diligently to address one of the most recurrent bugs in the game – the gallery system. I understand how frustrating it can be when new sexy scenes are added, and a bug shows up every time. Rest assured, I'm implementing a simpler and better gallery system that will eliminate this issue once and for all. Now you can enjoy all the steamy content without any technical hiccups, and yes, it will be added to the main menu.

A Little Personal Note

Above all, I want to emphasize how invested I am in making this game better for you, and I want to also take a little bit of time to be honest and open with you about what has been going on in my life, which obviously has been affecting my work time and mental health.

This year, my best friend left this plane of existance. When I started this project with Steamy Paradise around three years ago, he was the one that started with me and supported me to keep working and getting better to be able to reach our goals. At some point, we parted ways and I kept working on this on my own, but in real life, he was still the best friend I've ever had since I was a kid. As you can imagine, it was hard for me to deal with my mental health while trying to keep this page and the games alive, after his departure.

Lucky me, I have a partner, a wonderful gal that has helped me get through everything without losing my mind. The good news is that I've been able to start seeing things with a new and fresh perspective, and this is allowing me to regain confidence and the will to create stuff in a way that makes me more passionate about it.

I want to do things right, and this is the first step towards that goal. I hope you're in this ride with me, because I'm sure you're going to love it.

As you all know, quality takes time, and I'm committed to delivering a great product for you. As Gandalf once said, "A wizard is never late, nor is he early. He arrives precisely when he means to." Similarly, this update will be ready when it's time – ensuring to surprise you with all the new and improved features. The last week of August or the first week of September seems to be a good aim for a first release window.
