2025-10-23 01:00:38 +0000 UTCIt's not really a documentary but there is a short explanation on youtube that I really like, "Chernobyl Visually Explained" by the channel Higgsino physics. It's a little over 16 minutes and it gives a bit more detail/explanation on how nuclear reactors work and what was going on inside of reactor 4. Not sure if a link will work but, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P3oKNE72EzU, just in case it does. Hope you guys give it a watch! I found it very interesting after first watching Chernobyl.

2025-10-16 15:43:39 +0000 UTCI was so excited for this episode because even though it's the last one, I was excited to see your reactions to how everything went down, and the context at the end. Chernobyl is one of those points in history that stick with you. I also highly recommend The Lost Tapes and The Battle of Chernobyl documentaries, as well as Turning Point: The Cold War - this is a nine part doc on Netflix, Chernobyl is only featured in episode 5 but it gives great context for the Soviet state, and also how it's now gotten into its current oligarchy and the war in Ukraine. Thanks boys!

2025-10-16 02:22:44 +0000 UTCI have a morbid fascination on this disaster, it was just a couple of years before I was born, but my parents experienced it as my family lived in the UK. If you'd like some reading material, my favorite book on this event is written by Andrew Leatherbarrow called "Chernobyl 01:23:40: The Incredible True Story of the World's Worst Nuclear Disaster" and it's one of the best unbiased collection of facts (if's difficult to find books on this without the writing becoming politically biased). I highly recommend reading it.
