Emily & Murph: Regarding pet reptiles that you don't have to feed live worms to: Look into blue tongue skinks!! Their entire diet can consist of quality dog food mixed with some greens and vitamins. They're also super easy to take care of once you've got everything set. Plus, they are cute as heck!!

I’m from New England, lobsters are thrown into boiling water because it does kill it immediately. As a kid, my dad also said that if you didn’t it wouldn’t be safe to eat. Maybe like a botulism thing; I don’t know. I will say that my father loved having lobster races where the winner, really was the loser as they were the first into the pot. It was also gruesomely funny to watch him do a Swedish Chef and talk to the lobsters before he put them in the pot. My favourite kind of parallel thinking is when someone now reinvents a mythological beast. Cuz it shows that even despite millenia apart, imaginative folks come up with the same great ideas. Hippofins remind me of Hippocampi which are horses with mermaid tails and fins instead if legs. First mentioned by Homer almost 3000 years ago. Emily, you are our generations Homer!

When she said that it was like a hippogriff but instead of horse/eagle it was horse/dolphin, my first thought was "Does she mean a hippocampus?", then after looking up hippophin to make sure it didn't also already exist I started thinking about it more and since hippogriffs have beaks, maybe the distinction would be that hippophins have the mouth of a dolphin as well as the tail.
