I studied serial killers in college and in 1994 I studied Steven Staynor’s case. It turned into a study about Steven’s older brother’s behavior. I told my professor, and I quote, “I wouldn’t be surprised if one day we find out he became a serial killer”. That older brother was Cary Staynor. My professor contacted me after the news broke and told me I should work for the FBI.

I started binge listening to your podcast 2 weeks ago. I just finished the last episode. I love true crime and was grateful to hear stories I had not heard of before. I have gratitude for all the research Payton does on every story and also for the acceptance of Garrett to be the partner in this endeavor. Keep the podcast going, we love it!
