I have been infected with a new type of coronavirus.

It is probably Omicron strain BA.5.

While we live our lives with the utmost care, the route of infection is no longer identifiable.

For example, my daughter was told later by a friend that her sister had a cough, which could be a possible route.

The median incubation period of Omicron strains is a median of three days, and the time lag is exquisite and disrupting, and there is no end to it.

In the cold, dry winter weather, we cannot be 100% sure that there were no physical changes that would suggest a cold.

I wonder if the infectiousness of this "8th Wave" is such that it would be meaningless to try to identify the pathway.

Symptoms are just a strong cold so far: high fever of 38.5-39.0 degrees Celsius, strong headache, severe sore throat, and so on.

What scared me personally was the severe coughing, which made it difficult to breathe as if I had a recurrence of a coughing and asthma attack I had in the past when I used inhaled steroids.

At 50 years old, I am on the edge of my physical fitness, and I felt that I would not be able to hold up to this battle with my physical fitness in a few decades.

My sense of taste was very much benefited by the hypersensitivity or acuteness, lol.

It will return to normal in time.

I also have a clear symptom of abnormality in my hearing.

It's like, "I knew that one came too."

I hope to use my experience with sudden hearing loss and Meniere's disease to overcome this.
